Jigsaws

Posted on 18 Jun 201123 Dec 2018   by CY

Our dear girl has become quite attached to a jigsaw puzzle application I bought for her on the iPad. The application – My Jigsaw Puzzles HD – was another one of those USD0.99 apps, but the kind of engagement it

Hannah @ Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden

Posted on 17 Jun 201117 Jun 2011   by CY

Over the last several months now, Hannah’s getting steadier with making longer outdoor trips. We’ve brought her several times now to Punggol Park, and there was the zoo outing the other month. My department organized a family outing where staff

Toddler Rampages Pancakes

Posted on 15 Jun 201116 Jun 2011   by CY

Ling’s weekend pancakes were a huge success for Hannah. She tore through her pancake like no tomorrow, picking up another chunk and stuffing it into her mouth before she’d finished chewing the last one. She didn’t even even stop for

Yummy Toddler Foods: Blueberry Muffins

Posted on 13 Jun 201113 Jun 2011   by Ling

Perhaps it’s the need for accomplishment during this holidays. I find myself testing new recipes and revisiting my old favourites. I’ve blogged about my No. 1 muffin a few years back. My tummy craved for blueberry muffins this afternoon and

2 Years 1 Week

Posted on 12 Jun 201112 Jun 2011   by CY

Unlike Ling, I haven’t got round to reading literature about bringing up kids, preferring instead to go with instincts and observations. One thing I take a small amount of pride in is teaching Hannah words, and they’ve included saying ‘sorry’

Yummy Toddler Foods: Stir-Fry Udon with Prawns

Posted on 12 Jun 201112 Jun 2011   by Ling

This unique recipe is courtesy of the mom from ‘Food 4 Tots’. I chose this recipe for 2 reasons: 1) it was about time to introduce prawns to Hannah’s diet, 2) I wanted to try cooking udon in stir-fry style.

Yummy Toddler Foods: Banana Pancakes

Posted on 9 Jun 20119 Jun 2011   by Ling

“Good mor-ming, mommy!” Yang has done a wonderful job at helping her with speech. :) And finally, mommy found the energy to make pancakes at home for breakfast. Ya, I’m such a bum in the mornings (Yang is nodding vigorously).

The Terrific Two

Posted on 6 Jun 20117 Jun 2011   by Ling

We just celebrated Hannah’s second birthday yesterday. She was fond of dogs and the Icing Room @ Compass Point Shopping Mall so happened to carry a cute doggie cake designed using fresh cream with black forest / vanilla fruit flavour.

Weaning from Straw Cup

Posted on 5 Jun 2011   by Ling

Finally, mommy is down to washing one straw cup per night! I have blogged about the tedium of washing milk bottles and transition cups. Yang could attest to the fact that I’m very particular about the cleanliness of our crockery

2 Days to 2!

Posted on 4 Jun 20115 Jun 2011   by CY

Hannah’s just two days to two years old! The researcher from MIT’s Media Lab I have been working with was coincidentally in Singapore for the week for a reciprocal visit from my trip to MIT last year. So, on the
