Hannah @ Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden

Over the last several months now, Hannah’s getting steadier with making longer outdoor trips. We’ve brought her several times now to Punggol Park, and there was the zoo outing the other month. My department organized a family outing where staff were to bring spouses and kids along, and to a fairly recently opened kid’s park beside Botanic Gardens – the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden. I haven’t been here before, but Ling has heard great things about it.

The occasion went very well; and what was real pleasant for us was to see Hannah mingling very easily with the other children. Though by the time we’d been there for 2 hours, she was visibly getting tired and perspiring in the humid weather. Pictures below. =)

The kid's worksheet became a scratch pad for her.

Soon figured out that it's loads more fun to just draw on daddy's head.=)

With my colleague's son. The two are about the same age.

It was quite a cute sight - watching the two of them hold hands and traipsing through the foot path. Funnier still was the boy led Hannah on the first trip. But on the return journey, Hannah was pulling the boy along.=)

She was the shortest and probably youngest kid at the water fountain play area.
