Daddy’s Girl

I got home yesterday evening pretty spaced out – had a content-heavy lecture at noon, chaired two meetings after that, took the last hour to co-vet through an academic document.

As soon as I’d step through our door though, I saw a clearly upset Ling stomping about in the kitchen snarling “I AM EVERY UPSET WITH YOUR DAUGHTER!!!”

She actually emphasized the ‘your’.

What was the problem? Apparently, Hannah was repeating an action I taught her over the New Year in January – blowing raspberries!

Normally, Hannah looks absolutely cute when she does that. However, to mommy’s horror, Hannah blew those berries yesterday afternoon at the most inappropriate time possible… while Ling was feeding her dinner and with porridge in her mouth!

The net effect was food that was wildly spilled everywhere on the baby high chair, the floor, and utensils. Ling had to spend the better part of an hour cleaning up, which she’d just completed when I got back home. She obviously couldn’t ‘shoot’ Hannah, so she chewed out the bewildered daddy instead LOL.

You get the idea.

  1. Lol! Aww poor Ling, hope your little one doesn’t do that every meal time otherwise Ling would have too much to clean up every day :O

  2. more to come…more to come….enjoy it while it lasts cos it won’t be permanent. this is one innocent gesture that will be missed when compared to the ‘wilder’ antics they get up to as they grow ‘older’…..:D
