Year End Activities and 2010

Work has been madly busy these last few weeks that by the time I get back home each evening, I’m all but zonked out and the only thing on my mind is to have dinner, and just stone in front of the TV, or watch (in half-conscious state) Ling feeding Hannah. Briefly, the last quarter of this year and until early January, I’m involved in two research projects, one campus-wide event, and also planning and preparation for my upcoming staff exchange and teaching trip to Japan next weekend. And that’s on top of my usual teaching duties and other student-centric activities and projects that I also run.

Ling has been in contact with a school on her own limited teaching arrangements for next year too, so things are gonna get even busier around Rivervale. There will be big changes around our household starting from early next year, including Hannah moving to infant day-care for half a day each day that Ling’s working, that the next six months is going to be when she’ll gain significant physical abilities – and all the necessary household safety measures that’d come in view of that. And of course, Matt’s gonna come visit us again in mid-February 2010, an event the both of us are certainly looking forward to if for nothing else it’ll be another opportunity to see if he can actually gain weight instead of losing it!

Speaking of our Angmo friend, Ling has psychoed him to go try climbing Mt. Kinabalu when he’s here. With that, he could packet about a dozen pratas each day he’s on the mountain, and hike off all the excess LOL.
