Our yearly tradition of having taking our family pictures on the first day of the Lunar New Year. This year’s setup is different though, with the Sony A73 doing duties for the first of hopefully many years to come. The lens of choice was the trustworthy Sony FE 24-105mm f4.0. I did think about using the new Samyang FE 35mm f1.4 lens that I’d just picked up, but a check on the past years’ pictures showed that the main focal length used for the family pictures was at 28mm, albeit with some cropping. A number of accessories came out to play for off-camera lighting: both of the Godox flash units triggered using the Godox XPro, and also a Meike remote controller connected via a battery grip to the A73.
