Taiwan – Hannah’s Perspective

This is one post where I can leave someone else to do the talking and I really don’t have to write much! All too often on family trips, the adults record their perspectives of the experience, and typically in the form of pictures – but not the child’s. This is the fourth family vacation where I’ve got Hannah to spend an hour or so each evening to write a journal entry in a prepared format. It not only a record for her, but it also helps her to think about what she’s seen and experienced. In the years to come, I’ll have to decide whether to get her a camera to also take pictures too, but we’ll still need to find some way to also retain our descriptions of our impressions – whether it’s the form of recorded audio in a video, through social media, or also as a blogger. Something to think about in a few years more!

In the mean time, some excerpts from her journal!

Day 3. She really liked Carton King!
Day 5 when we were in the Cingjing area. She does not like Sheep saliva haha.
Day 9: the Hot Spring experience was clearly novel.
Day 12 and our last day: she wants a 7 day staycation at Wild Wild Wet at Pasir Ris…?!
