Long Weekend with the f1.7 – Part 3

The third post from our long National Day weekend. =)

We were debating over where to have dinner on Monday evening, and remembered that there was a Sakae Sushi restaurant at Rivervale Mall. More out of the way than the perpetually crowded similar outlet at Compass Point. Unfortunately, the restaurant has been replaced by a Korean BBQ franchise place when we drove there. Just as well; we had a dinner there with too much food (they had this one complimentary selected main course for each we ordered). Ate ourselves silly, but we loved the peaceful ambiance and décor.

The highlight of the evening was a ride into her favorite toy car at the second level.

We needed to replace three of the half-working ceiling lights at home too. So, made a trip down to Ikea to spot some replacements on the National Day itself and breakfast.

Thing is; just about every Singaporean had the same idea. The Ikea cafeteria was spectacularly crowded, and Ling spent a good 15 minutes queuing up for three plates of French Toast and sausages for the three of us. Didn’t manage to find suitable light replacement fixtures though. So that means a likely trip to the Balestier Road stretch of lighting shops very soon.

She was able to navigate a full cup of water without too much spillage.

Initially hesitant about trying out the kiddie slide at the furniture level; she ended up going on it three times!

There was another stuffed dog on sale in the mall, but Ling wanted a stuffed cat for her. =)
