Kitchen Play @ f1.7

I’m now – officially – a sworn believer of the Lumix 20mm f1.7. The lens is just incredible! Not that it’s a one-size-fit-all solution for trying to take pictures of little girls who absolutely will not keep still. But the pictures I’ve been able to get out of the new lens, and even very casual shots, are invariably turning out better than I got out of the old 14-42mm.

This bunch of pictures were taken just this evening in the kitchen in fluorescent lighting. In that not very bright lighting, I used to make do with ISO1600 1/25s shots, and coupled with a constantly on the move Hannah, was lucky to get a third of the shots in focus. With the f1.7, I’m getting ISO500 1/60s easily. =)
