I wrote this up on the Facebook page yesterday evening, but figured since not everyone’s on FB, here’s the long and short of it.
We were positively freaked out on TUES early morning when we woke up to see Hannah’s right eye slit-liked, and surrounding it a very ugly red and large patch. The poor girl could barely open her right eye then, and got both of us so worried that we were about to take urgent leave. Thankfully she got better during the rest of yesterday, and by 7 PM looked less scary (picture here) after liberal application of ointment.
As of today (WEDS), the scar’s still there, but she can nearly open her right eye fully, though the swelling’s still obvious enough. Bit of a funny story; when she was at playgroup, her teacher there was alarmed at her condition and thought she had some kind of contagious disease! Fortunately, she referred to another teacher, and they verified that it was just a nasty mosquito bite and allowed our little girl into with the rest of the tots.:)
