Hannah’s First Steps

Hannah has taken her first solid steps! She’s been able to stand on her own reasonably well on her own for a week now since I returned, and when we saw her take her first steps at Lentor yesterday, we were all very surprised to see how much she’s naturally picked up the ability.

The surprise of seeing her take her first steps on her own was just heartwarming! She’s just able to walk in a straight direction though. She doesn’t seem to quite know how to turn without falling.

More pictures on Saturday morning yesterday: on the sofa just before heading out:

We’ve adjusted her carseat so that it’s front-facing now. Coincidentally, Jeff, my MIT co-lead researcher, was remarking to me the other week that over in Boston, there’s apparently some sort of regulation requiring child carseats to be facing specific directions up till certain ages.

And finally at McDonalds. Her entertainment toy – a little tuppleware of small biscuits – and her look of satisfaction when she got some of Mommy’s hotcakes.:)
