My First Mother’s Day

first-mothers-day-gift-2010 The usual poo-poo and stuff. Nothing ceremonial la. Hee hee. :P

I got a little surprise though. Hannah’s teachers from her infant care centre got the infants to make hand-prints on paper and then they transformed these hand-prints into a potted ‘flower’ for the mothers. A nice touch from them. Something to remember by too.

Every day is mother’s day la. It’s the poo-poo and stuff lol. :P

The poem pasted on the flower pot reads:

"Children have a certain way

Of growing bigger every day.

But these little hands

And this special smile

Will stay in our hearts

A long, long while."

  1. It is indeed very special … What a gift !
Keep it for Hannah to see when she grows older. She will be very surprised, I think :)

  2. Yep; and it’s made of paper so it should last for the next 10 years at least.:)

  3. We were approached by some baby’s hand and foot prints vendor at Thomson Medical Centre on the 2nd day after I gave birth to Hannah. We didn’t think it was necessary and so declined the offer.

  4. Oh yah… I remembered that occasion nearly a year ago at TMC. The sales person was asking for a royal bomb to get the cast imprints and we politely declined.:)

  5. When I saw this hand print gift with Hannah in the middle, I thought she was on the sofa when you took this photo but instead it’s a picture of Hannah in the middle of the handprints lol!

  6. You’re right; the way Hannah’s posed might just suggest she was on the sofa.:)
