New Toys: Four Phases

There are four basic phases involved whenever Hannah gets oriented to a new toy. Here’s a case in point: we picked up a toy mobile-phone at Kiddy Palace @ Compass Point earlier today. The pictures below show the four different phases:

1. Above left: She’ll start by exploring the toy first…

2. Above right: … then lose interest in it immediately when either one of us approach her with a camera.:)

3. Above left: When she’s distracted away from the camera and back to the toy, soon enough she’ll begin chewing on the toy.

4. Above right: Then finally, she’ll lose interest in the toy altogether and go back to chewing on her own fingers.:)
