It’s here finally!
The H1N1 vaccine is now available in Singapore. I’ve called a nearby clinic to book for vaccination for two (Yang and I). Surprisingly, that clinic is charging less than the polyclinics. I looked up the list of clinics that are ‘H1N1 ready’ from this website and called one near my place to find out whether they offer the jab. Once you’re at the web page, just click on the area of interest on the Singapore map and the list of clinics with their contact details will show up.
Hannah is still too young for the vaccine as she might suffer side effects. So mommy is ensuring that daddy and herself get vaccinated to reduce the risk of spreading the infection to her. Especially since daddy is going to Japan for work attachment in a month’s time. The vaccine will take effect after 2 weeks and the protection lasts for about a year.
So what are you waiting for? If not for yourself, do it for your loved ones. :)
tho the percentage is low, the side effects can be pretty bad… =(
the H1N1 or Swine Flu virus did put our country in disarray for quite sometime, it is good to know that at least it did not cause so many deaths.
