Here\u2019s Part 2.:)<\/p>\n<p>I finally managed to get some much nicer bracketed exposures of Kumamoto Castle on Saturday morning \u2013 the day before departure. Like the picture taken from my blog post \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/chekyang.com\/musings\/2009\/12\/18\/meals-with-a-view\/\">Meals with a View<\/a>\u201d, these exposures were taken at the balcony garden in front of Restaurant Matsuri:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"blog2009kumamotoDSC_5131kkrhotelhdr32\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chekyang.com\/musings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/blog2009kumamotoDSC_5131kkrhotelhdr32.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"blog2009kumamotoDSC_5131kkrhotelhdr32\" width=\"600\" height=\"397\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"blog2009kumamotoDSC_5142kkrhotelhdr34\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chekyang.com\/musings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/blog2009kumamotoDSC_5142kkrhotelhdr34.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"blog2009kumamotoDSC_5142kkrhotelhdr34\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Both of these two HDR compositions were created from a five bracket shot series each.<\/p>\n<p>I went easy on tone mapping to get a more naturalistic look for the next three compositions. Firstly, the one below was taken near the entrance of Kyu-Hosokawa Gyobutei:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"blog2009kumamotoDSC_5449streetshdr67\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chekyang.com\/musings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/blog2009kumamotoDSC_5449streetshdr67.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"blog2009kumamotoDSC_5449streetshdr67\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And these last two compositions along the road running around the outskirts of Kumamoto Castle. The wall on either side of the two pictures is Hyakken Wall.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"blog2009kumamotoDSC_5482streetshdr72\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chekyang.com\/musings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/blog2009kumamotoDSC_5482streetshdr72.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"blog2009kumamotoDSC_5482streetshdr72\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"blog2009kumamotoDSC_5453streetshdr68\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chekyang.com\/musings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/blog2009kumamotoDSC_5453streetshdr68.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"blog2009kumamotoDSC_5453streetshdr68\" width=\"400\" height=\"604\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s two more stacks of HDR exposures left: and that\u2019s for Suizenji Gardens and Kyu-Hosokawa Gyobutei. Those are a lot harder to process as lighting was either awful \u2013 as in the case of Suizenji Gardens \u2013 or low light, as was the case for Hosokawa Mansion.
