Mrrreeeoooww&#8230;!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The two of us usually get back home at about 6:30 pm every evening. If either one of us is cooking, dinner will typically be at around 7:15 pm and we&#8217;ll usually dine with a couple of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Seinfeld\" mce_href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Seinfeld\">Seinfeld<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Everybody_loves_raymond\" mce_href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Everybody_loves_raymond\">Everybody Loves Raymond<\/a> episodes on the TV as accompaniment. It&#8217;s a nice way to unwind.:)<\/p>\n<p>One of the episodes we watched on Seinfeld on Tuesday evening included a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0697794\/plotsummary\" mce_href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0697794\/plotsummary\">subplot<\/a> where <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Elaine_Benes\" mce_href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Elaine_Benes\">Elaine<\/a>\u2014one of the show&#8217;s four main characters\u2014gets into two catfights (Mrrreeeoooww!), and how all the male persons would all surround and chuckle and watch the two women contestants fight it out. It&#8217;s a pretty cute scene which is also a lot more hilarious than it sounds on a blog entry.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-605\" style=\"float: right;\" mce_style=\"float: right;\" title=\"blog-catfight\" src=\"https:\/\/chekyang.com\/musings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/blog-catfight.jpg\" mce_src=\"https:\/\/chekyang.com\/musings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/blog-catfight.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"184\" height=\"300\">In any case, it&#8217;s quite coincidental that we were watching the catfight  (Mrrreeeoooww!) episode since Singapore is watching two &#8216;star&#8217; bloggers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/Singapore\/Story\/STIStory_260371.html\" mce_href=\"http:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/Singapore\/Story\/STIStory_260371.html\">going at it at with each other<\/a> right now too:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" mce_style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><i>BLOGGER Wendy Cheng &#8211; better known online as Xiaxue &#8211; is not apologising to fellow blogger Dawn Yang.<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" mce_style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><i>Yesterday was the deadline set in a letter that was sent last week by the latter&#8217;s lawyer to Ms Cheng to do so.<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" mce_style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><i>&#8230;<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" mce_style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><i>The bad blood between the two bloggers goes back to November 2006, when they were compared in an online &#8216;hottest bloggers&#8217; ranking. They have been making comments about each other on their blogs since.<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" mce_style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><i>&#8230;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Ah no; I don&#8217;t read or follow either woman&#8217;s blogs though I&#8217;ve read of their antics in media. What&#8217;s even more fun though is to read comments posted by readers into The Straits Times discussion board, some of them derisive, others calling it &#8220;tabloid crap&#8221; and chiding our national newspaper for wasting precious space over these two when there&#8217;re far more critical news they should be reporting on.
