\"blog-2009-baby-DSC_3038-tv\" Here\u2019s something we\u2019re not quite sure if it\u2019s a good thing or not. Since the last 2 weeks, Hannah has been increasingly expecting attention whenever she\u2019s awake. The mobile that hangs over the cot that worked so well before (blogged here<\/a>) seems less effective in keeping Hannah occupied and from grumbling.<\/p>\n

One thing we\u2019ve found that seems to work every time is to bring Hannah to watch TV with us. We\u2019ve figured out how to both carry her and have dinner at the same time, and when we\u2019re done, we\u2019ll be on the sofa with Hannah on our laps, her head turned to see what\u2019s going on the TV.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve been on a Pirates of the Carribean<\/em> binge i.e. watching all three films the last couple of evenings, and Hannah\u2019s been\u2026 enthralled.Thing is, we\u2019re not quite certain exactly which aspect of it is engaging her. Hopefully it\u2019s not girly man Orlando Bloom, and if it\u2019s Keira Knightley she\u2019s ogling at, we\u2019d be worried! It could be the more overt aspects of the films, like Hans Zimmer\u2019s self-plagiarized soundtrack music in D minor, or maybe just that there\u2019s a lot of kinetic motion on-screen in all three films.<\/p>\n

Either way, we\u2019re not complaining. As long as it keeps her occupied and not in one of her wailing modes, we don\u2019t have to resort to, er, chloroform.:)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
