My department at work recently made some changes to our usual monthly staff meeting \u2013 before the meeting begins, we\u2019ll take turns each month to demonstrate a game we\u2019re playing.<\/p>\n
The first game that was demoed wasn\u2019t a well-known mass retail sort of thing you see sold on shelves. It\u2019s Plants vs Zombies \u2013 a Tower Defense game that sees you trying to protect your home against hordes of zombies using a variety of plants.<\/p>\n

In fact, I decided to try putting the game through a litmus test \u2013 seeing if my two nephews would like it. I brought down the netbook to the function room during Hannah\u2019s birthday bash and got Danyel and Isaac to have a go at it. It took just minutes for them to get hooked LOL.:)<\/p>\n
The concept is simple, game play mechanics not sophisticated. But the game\u2019s crazily addictive and shows exactly how you can still create an attractive game that has already been done countless times. The game\u2019s very easy to learn, runs well on most computers (even on netbooks), and has a lot of levels and secondary game play modes \u2013 my favorite\u2019s one in which zombies are invisible.<\/p>\n
