Still, we braved the weather and drove the very short 2-minute distance from Hallim Park to <strong>Hyeopjae Beach<\/strong>. The beach is widely regarded as one of the most attractive beaches on the island, with its shallow turquoise water contrasting with pale sand and dark volcanic rock. After a quick dinner at Mom&#8217;s Touch and once the rain had subsided, we next drove for several minutes to <strong>Aewol Caf\u00e9 Street<\/strong>. The street is actually a short coastal walk overlooking the volcanic rocks, with a number of caf\u00e9s lining the coast. The cancellation of today&#8217;s firefly sighting tour was pretty disappointing, but it was what it was. It took us another 45-minute drive from Aewol back to our hotel in Jeju City.
