{"id":38972,"date":"2026-06-18T22:29:30","date_gmt":"2026-06-18T14:29:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.chekyang.com\/musings\/?p=38972"},"modified":"2026-06-18T22:29:30","modified_gmt":"2026-06-18T14:29:30","slug":"day-06-jeju-east-jeju-seongeup-folk-village-umutgae-coast-and-hado-coastal-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chekyang.com\/musings\/2026\/06\/18\/day-06-jeju-east-jeju-seongeup-folk-village-umutgae-coast-and-hado-coastal-road\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 06 @ Jeju &#8211; East Jeju &#8211; Seongeup Folk Village, Umutgae Coast and Hado Coastal Road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aside from our ascent up Seongsan Mountain earlier this morning, a visit to Seopjikoji and also the Haenyeo diver performance later in the day, the rest of Day 06 today was basically filler itinerary around these three places, and also involved heading in the general westerly direction to return to Jeju City, where we&#8217;d be spending our last three days. We&#8217;d initially also included a bunch of places in our planned itinerary to see hydrangeas. But we&#8217;ve already seen so much of this flower species this trip that by this point in our holiday, including some magnificent specimens in beautifully curated gardens and parks, we didn&#8217;t really feel the need anymore to visit more places with them as the highlight.<\/p>\n<p>Since we had a fair amount of time to kill, Mr. Lee added a quick stop by the <strong>Seongeup Folk Village<\/strong>, and a work colleague had also strongly encouraged that we visit the Nexon Computer Museum &#8211; which I&#8217;ll post about next too. Apart from these two additions, we also did brief stopovers at <strong>Umutgae Coast<\/strong>, and <strong>Hado Coastal Road<\/strong> today. I have vague recollections of visiting this place 20 years ago, but it certainly looks more developed now.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_38974\"
