We’d, a couple of days back, visited Suwolbong at the western end of Jeju. Seopjikoji is located on the other end – the eastern side of the island. Grassy slopes lead down toward rocky cliffs and open sea views. The area itself is not very large, but the scenery makes it a pleasant place for a short walk along the well-maintained footpaths. There are also a few pavilion-like areas, including a small lighthouse – Bangdupo Lighthouse – that has an observation deck and sits on top of a small hill. There is also a cafe and bakery located nearby, with a large swing for visitors to take their Instagram pictures.

The weather was pretty overcast during the late morning when we visited.

Bangdupo Lighthouse.

The lighthouse is reached through a relatively short series of steps.
