Day 04 is when we continued exploring the south-western side of Jeju Island. We’d initially included a visit to the Jeju Aerospace Museum but dropped that when we reviewed the itinerary last night to add another coastal trail walk.<\/p>\n

Our first stop for the day remained the Osulloc Tea Museum<\/strong>. This is a popular spot for many visitors to Jeju, and actually includes three places that are in the same general compound: the green tea fields, the Osulloc Tea Museum itself, and Innisfree Jeju House. There are at least a few sections of green tea fields: one that’s across the road from the museum and Innisfree House, and a smaller one that is just beside the Innisfree Jeju House cafeteria. The museum itself introduces visitors to the history and culture of Korean tea, and there is a busy retail area that sells all sorts of teas as well as matcha-type snacks and drinks. Innisfree Jeju House carries a variety of skincare products, and yes, there is a seating area at the end for women to deposit any male companions. The cafeteria there offers pricey beverages and pastries, but with views of the tea fields adjacent to it.<\/p>\n

The shop was generally relaxing even for me, as a male type who doesn’t use these things.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

There weren’t many people on this side of the compound. Most visitors were on the other side where the museum is.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

There were a fair number of tour buses coming in and leaving the compound, but most of the foot traffic was in the tea museum itself, since most folks were going into the fields to snap their pictures and then leave.<\/p>\n
