We spent almost two hours in the museum till almost 2PM, then used Kakao-T to find a ride back to Seogwipo to spend the rest of the day at Seogwipo Maeil Olie Market<\/strong>. The market is located very near our hotel – just 5 minutes walk away – and is one of Jeju’s most vibrant traditional markets and a popular gathering place for both locals and visitors. The market is known for its wide variety of street food, fresh seafood, local produce, and regional specialties. The missus was especially looking for two well-known stalls in this market: one that offers traditional dumplings that you can select with different fillings, including black pork, octopus, cream of lobster, egg and chives. The other stall is named ‘Grandmother’s Mochi’ – probably more branding than anything else – but offers Japanese-styled rice cakes. The market was semi-busy for a Monday afternoon, and there was also a fair number of tourists exploring the alley too.<\/p>\n
