Our next stop was the World Automobile & Piano Museum<\/strong>, which required us to travel 32km westwards across the breadth of the island. The museum houses an eclectic collection of vintage automobiles and antique pianos from around the world. There is an outdoor exhibition area for automobiles, with Nara-style free-roaming deer in one large enclosed exhibit area: yep, antique vehicles with deer walking the grounds. Admission into the museum provides a few small packs of carrots to feed the deer, which were as greedy as their Nara cousins LOL.<\/p>\n

We had read up about this unusual museum in our pre-trip research, but the place didn’t make it to the priority attractions to visit on account that it seemed like filler, in that none of us are car enthusiasts, and while we can similarly all play the piano at home, the vintage pianos on display in this museum were likely going to be of passing interest at most. We were able to hail a cab easily using Kakao-T, and the journey took us just 30 minutes.<\/p>\n

The second floor has a small room with a grand piano if you need to practice.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Most of the museum’s vehicle and antique piano exhibits are in the main building, which is accessed by a short walk uphill. The museum was uncrowded during our Monday early afternoon visit, and the only other visitors were mostly local families with kids. This was an OK visit for us, though that whole thing about having antique vehicles and pianos together in the same museum really strikes us as odd!<\/p>\n
