The bridge is about 30 minutes outside the DMZ, and was opened in 2018. The bridge is 220 meters long, 10 meters above ground, and is apparently the longest suspension bridge in South Korea. To get to the bridge itself, visitors need to do a short hike and climb that involves steps and also semi-gentle slopes. It’s a bit of a workout, but thankfully just 10 minutes and thus doable.<\/p>\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-36455\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chekyang.com\/musings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/blog-2024-korea-day-12-20241218_1315030.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chekyang.com\/musings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/blog-2024-korea-day-12-20241218_1315030.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.chekyang.com\/musings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/blog-2024-korea-day-12-20241218_1315030-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.chekyang.com\/musings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/blog-2024-korea-day-12-20241218_1315030-240x320.jpg 240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a>
The bridge is just 30 minutes by tour bus from the Unification village where we had that heavy buffet lunch.
