Insadong<\/strong> was an easy 20 minute walk from the Bukchon Hanok Village. The area is actually famous for its pedestrianized main street, and both sides of the street are filled with cafes, teahouses, restaurants, and shops. What particularly fascinated us was the Ssamziegil shopping mall, which was host to numerous artisan shops.<\/p>\n

This was coming close to 2PM, and about the start of the Insadong street. There are more visitors further in.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This shop does caricatures, and has a very special unique selling point!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

There was a colourful multi-floor mall along the street which I still can’t get the name of. There were a number of pop-up stalls on the ground floor offering wares – the missus bought several pairs of socks for the children here – and also Korean snacks. The upper floors had restaurants and cafes.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The missus bought several packs of fruit jelly sweets here at four packs for 20,000 KRW.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Ssamzie-gil – the very colourful four floor mini-mall with dozens of shops. For cat lovers, there is a shop on the second (or third – hard to tell!) floor offering cat paraphernalia.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

There is also a cafe and donut shop on the top level.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
The mall is organised as a continual loop on a gentle incline.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

John Wick! So tempted to get this for my office LOL.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Lots of eateries and restaurants in the area.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
