The five year old Thule Subterra 30L backpack has fared up very well: it’s been my daily bag that I use at work, and also dual purpose as my carry-on backpack when I fly, and even when I’m touring. However, and it’s an age-thing again, I’ve resolved to carry less when I travel and tour, which in turn meant that it was time to look for replacement bag that is both smaller and lighter.<\/p>\n

This was the second bag I picked up Boarding Gate\/The Wallet Shop’s travel fair at the Suntec City Convention Center atrium this week. The bag’s normal recommended retail price is SGD229:\u00a0 the fair discounted it to SGD160.30 – a 30% discount – and I received a further 10% as a store member.<\/p>\n

The Thule Accent 26L. The bag comes in three sizes: 23L, 26L, and 28L. The 28L was too close to the Subterra 30L I already have, and the 23L would had been a mite too small. So, the 26L it was.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The bag comes in only one color – black. I would have liked some other color, but oh well.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The SafeZone compartment, a feature of many Thule’s backpacks. This reinforced compartment is for items like glasses, but I don’t really have a use for it as I always keep my spare spectacles in its own case. The compartment has a removable tray, and there is a small pocket sleeve behind that.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
