Our next stop was St. Joseph’s Cathedral<\/strong>, one of the landmark sites in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. This church is neo-Gothic in style, and is a working church that has masses on weekdays and services on weekends. The church was built in the 19th century, and is the oldest church in Hanoi.<\/p>\n

Just outside the church, our two student guides invited us to take part in what looked like their school project: visitors’ first reactions to local desserts. We got recorded and interviewed, which means we’re gonna show up on their YouTube channel somewhere.\ud83d\ude05<\/p>\n

Talking about school projects, our two guides shared that for each trip they’d be required to write a reflection report that would get reviewed by their peers for improvement. That sounded so familiar to what my students have to do too haha!<\/p>\n
