We\u2019d initially put together a pretty long itinerary for the day. Tsukiji Outer Market and the Omiya Railway Museum before noon, then Shinjuku Gyoen, Yoyogi Park and Harajuku – there\u2019s apparently a Disney store there and Hannah\u2019s Pluto plush toy I bought her when she was a 2-year-old girl has gone from yellow to beige from age i.e. she could use a replacement – then a visit up Tokyo Tower to see the nightscape of the city, and finally winter illumination spots around Tokyo Station. In the end, we finished the day\u2019s sightseeing at Shinjuku Gyoen<\/strong>, as P was really starting to have difficulties sustaining his little feet from all the walking about by this point. The area comprises three different gardens, each themed quite differently: there\u2019s the traditional Japanese garden, an English landscaped garden, and a French-styled garden – and even with more time than initially planned allocated to this spot, we covered just the first two only.<\/p>\n

The kids thoroughly enjoyed this visit and busied themselves looking for fallen leaves, seeds, berries and assorted foliage on the ground – though we made both of them empty out their pockets and return everything back to the park before we left haha. The wife, with her trusty Samsung S8+, took tons of pictures of flora to add to her collection of exhibits for her classroom.\"\" \"\" \"\" \"\" \"\" \"\" \"\" \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n
