Yokohama feels like Tokyo-lite – sane and far less chaotic! The JR station area of course remains busy, but we traveled further south by subway on our way to the Cup Noodle Museum, and were surprised after coming out of Minatomirai Station to a quiet, unhurried but yet still modern-looking part of the city. In fact, one could almost describe the place as deserted.<\/p>\n

A chilly 6 degree celsius morning – with wind! An elderly Japanese couple quipped that the kids have matching winter jackets. Courtesy of Decathlon, so there\u2019s probably a few hundred other Singaporean kids with the same jackets haha.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Check out the relative absence of vehicles and cars on a 9:30AM Friday morning.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The large ferris wheel and roller coaster track at Yokohama Cosmoworld. The theme park looked completely void of humans when we walked past it at 9:45AM. It still looked fairly deserted when we left the Museum at noon.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Yokohama World Porters, a retail, dining and entertainment hub directly across the road from the Cup Noodles Museum.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Still barely any pedestrians and vehicles coming close to noon time.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

No visit to Japan is complete for the wife without taking a look at their Daiso stores and comparing their wares to what Daiso in Singapore carries.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Waiting for the express train to bring us from Yokohama Station to Anamori-Inari Station.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
