Winter illuminations are one of the neatest highlights in any winter season visit to Japan, and we checked out the first of such spots on our first day evening at Shinjuku, and in particular the light-ups at Terrace City.<\/strong> This is actually a large entertainment and retail area that apparently comprises numerous buildings, but largely in part because we’d had a very long day, we visited just one of the outdoor spots. The pictures here were all taken on the A73 with 24-105mm f4, with some minor Lightroom edits to give a bit more clarity to shadows and also some increased white levels – but the area is really as beautiful as these pictures hint at.<\/p>\n
