Towards the last stretch of Tamsui Old Street<\/a>, the Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 + MC-11 came out to play. A couple of pictures taken over the 10 minutes I had before our driver Checo came to pick us up again for our return to Taipei City.<\/p>\n

There was a young street violinist with a performer name of \u201cAngel of Violin\u201d. She was playing in front of the quiet alley in front of Tamsui Presbyterian Church, so I took a couple of portraiture shots and sent them to her (she has a Facebook page).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
There’s a lovely spot near the old street where White Cranes gather and fly about.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
As with birds in flight, it can be quite hard trying to predict which one is going to take off next! It’s a hit-and-miss thing for me. Light was also diminishing as it was approaching early evening.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
This fellow was perched near the dock. Shots like these are easier, as it\u2019s all composition and waiting for the subject to face the way you want.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I’ve been trying to get pictures using long focal lengths of the kids walking towards the camera, but it sure isn’t easy with these two.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
