Our itinerary for our five-day stay @ Margaret River went through a lot of revisions over the last couple of months, and it was only some advice from a private tour operator we would be going with on Day 4 did we firm up most of what we should spend our time on and where. The drive from Pemberton to Margaret River was a lot easier than say from Pemberton to Walpole, as the roads – and in particular Stewart Road which was long, straight and providing very good line of sight of oncoming traffic for several hundred meters – were nothing like the constantly winding and numerous changes sharp turns in the latter.<\/p>\n

It took us about 100 minutes to get from Beedelup Falls to Amaze’N, our first stop for the Margaret River segment. This is a children-centered park that features a number of areas for play, including mini-golf, outdoor games and puzzles, BBQ and picnic areas, children slides, and of course numerous types of mazes. The real highlight of the park though is the half-hectare Giant Hedge Maze, which sees visitors trying to find their way to its center – a two floor high wooden viewing platform. The kids certainly had a lot of fun in this one with H and P both taking turns to try to find their way to the center, and then out of it. There was quite a bit of crowd sourcing going on too, since everyone was trying to find their way too LOL.<\/p>\n

The children’s park is filled with all types of mazes. These two were at a race to see who could finish first.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Took a series of our almost 4 year old running circles around a maze. The Panasonic GX85 + 40-150mm f2.8 has acquitted itself marvellously well in this trip.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

H and P!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

H is bossy, but at heart she cares for her baby brother.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Ling spotting yet another flora point of interest. Reckon there’ll be a FB post on her wall soon on this!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

P has given Ling a lot of agony this trip (mostly to do with not listening to instructions), but he has his delightful moments.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

There is also a small cafe that offers a range of western-styled sandwiches and the now-ubiquitous Fish & Chips. We lunched there before traveling the last 10 minutes to our accommodation for the next five days; the Margaret River Hideaway & Farmstay.<\/p>\n
