Day 5 and finally time for us to say goodbye to Pemberton. The last natural sight in the region we had on our itinerary was Beedelup Falls, a small yet easily accessible spot by car that’s about a 10 minute drive from Pemberton town. The Falls offers a small set of rocky cascades, and in winter season or when there is generous rainfall, the water rushing down the falls can be quite attractive. I visited this site in the 2003 trip, and since it was well in our way to visit, why the heck not then. The best viewing point of the falls is in a 25m long suspension bridge.<\/p>\n

The road into the Falls is well-paved, and there are parking lots at the end of the road. The cascades themselves are a short 7 minute walk or so further in and is easily manageable by kids, though it’ll be a different story if you have a stroller since there are a number of steps along the boardwalks.<\/p>\n

The boardwalk is safe for kids and the elderly, as there are guard railings around and the boardwalk is in very good condition.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The 25m suspension bridge. Pretty safe, though easily shaken by 4 year olds who cannot resist!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Used slow shutter speeds again to get the milky water effects of fast moving water. This handheld shot was even harder to achieve than the ones at the Warren National Park cascades yesterday – as the suspension bridge was inherently shaky continually shaking.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We were the only visitors to cross the bridge at that time, so again, had pretty much the entire place to ourselves to take as many pictures as I wanted.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The quickest Beeldeup Falls walk is easy for both kids and elderly, and can be completed in 30 minutes. There are longer trails that will take an hour or two to complete too.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Beedelup Falls done; and it was another 1 hr 45 minute drive towards Margaret River, with a visit to Amaze’n next!<\/p>\n
