I always thought it would pause on a citrus leaf for a few seconds to lay an egg. However, it kept flying around our lemon plant, barely touching it, for a good 2-3 minutes. By the time it was gone, we inspected the plant for eggs. Much to our astonishment, it laid 6 eggs! And two of them on the stem instead of leaves.
