Our initial idea was to build a moss wall, but after we read of horror stories of the moss wall being a death trap for small critters like Otocinclus and Tetras, thought better of it.

So, after our premarital seminars at Wesley on Saturday afternoon, we drove down to Nature Aquarium again to look for a small bundle of moss to tie onto the horizontal piece of wood instead. Funnily, when we asked the Uncle at the shop if this moss would get eaten by our Lionheads, his instinctive reaction was to shake his head and chuckled in Mandarin that goldfishes and plants just don’t go together.

Still, we were determined to give it a go. Barely minutes after placing the completed artifact into the tank, Frilly started to nibble on the plants.

So far he’s been unsuccessful in uprooting any strands since they are indeed tired up securely – but who knows how persistent he’ll be.
