Well, here are the first pictures of Hannah and Peter and with the new E-PL6. It’s probably impossible to tell from the pictures below, but Hannah has been ill. Basically, the usual bout of mild fever, runny nose, coughing and sore-throat, and has been away from school as a result for the last three days now.<\/p>\n

All the pictures here were taken using the touch-AF feature on the camera, and with the 17mm f1.8.<\/p>\n

An odd incident happened with Hannah the other evening though when I brought her to see her doctor. We’d completed registration, and as this was a weekday evening, there were twelve other patients ahead of us; this actually resulted in a just over 2 hour wait before it came to our turn. Perhaps because of the long wait involved, she did the usual things kids do when they are bored – occupy herself chatting with other kids at the clinic, stretch in all sorts of postures, keep asking Dad how much longer etc. Now Hannah is normally not a nuisance, but at one point when she was getting overly vigorously, I had to restrain her by stretching out to pull her back a little.<\/p>\n

Now, Hannah is of the age now to resist or just push away our restraining hands – but this time round, whether out of instinct or consciously, she hit my hand instead. That was surprisingly, since I’ve not seen her do that before. I immediately pulled her back over and addressed her behavior sternly to her – that she is never to hit her parents or her brother. Thankfully, Hannah’s normally reconciliatory demeanor took over, and she teared up and looked dreadfully sorry, and wanted to make amends.<\/p>\n

It does seem like a small matter, but nonetheless something I think we’ll want to follow up on at her school soon and see if she’s in any way rough with her friends. If it is, it’s certainly behavior we’ll want to correct.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
