We celebrated Ling’s birthday yesterday. Now, the evening prior to that, Hannah and I had this conversation in the living room (Ling was in the kitchen):<\/p>\n

Hannah<\/strong> in hushed tones: “Daddy, Mommy’s birthday is tomorrow. What cake did you get her?”<\/p>\n

Daddy<\/strong>: “Alright, but you cannot tell her ok? Daddy bought her a special Blackforest cake.”<\/p>\n

Hannah<\/strong>: “What’s a blackforest cake?”<\/p>\n

Daddy<\/strong>: “It’s a type of chocolate…”<\/p>\n

Hannah interrupted at the top of her voice: “MOMMY… DADDY BOUGHT YOU A CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!!”<\/p>\n

Daddy<\/strong>: “…..!!!!”<\/p>\n

That’s our 4 year old girl for you – she’s a taleteller! :(<\/p>\n
