The weather on our island has been, surprisingly, quite wet and cold over the last several days – and it’s not even November monsoon yet. We’ve been experiencing rain everyday for nearly a week now, some of which has been intense enough to cause flash floods and bring down grown trees onto vehicles even. Thankfully no real injuries have been caused yet, aside from lots of the usual inconveniences from sudden downpours i.e. traffic jams and the like. We finally got a little sun on Sunday mid-afternoon – enough for me to quickly pop by The Minton construction site for another weekly look-see.<\/p>\n

In general, some progress is visible, though the initial TOP of end-September is starting to look less likely. Sigh. If we don’t get our keys by mid-October, that will mean we won’t be moving in this year after all, what with the about two months it will typically take for our apartment’s unit renovation to complete.<\/p>\n

The Amazonian Giant Lily Pond @ Tranquil World has received its first water body. Still quite shallow though, and the water there might just had been the result of the rain we’ve been getting.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The interconnecting bridge between walkways and observation islands have received its support beams. Ling was a little disappointed at the lily planters though – they sure don’t look like ‘Giant’ lilies.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Block signage has been installed around the compound too, and waiting to be unwrapped.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Badminton Dome has been getting wood decking around it. Workers were also (finally) mounting up its door frame too.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
