I was only half-listening, but the both of us chuckled when at one point, Ling replied on the phone that Hannah can be anything but an angel, and we’d only been blogging about the good parts of life with our baby girl!

And that’s really the truth. Like everyone else, parenting has had its ups and downs, just that one tends to read more of the former than latter here. Here’s just a sampling:

– Hannah making a terrific din when Mommy has to step out of the house, even for a few minutes, and she’s left at home with Daddy.

– Hannah playing with her water bottle and spilling water over the floor, sofa, table etc.

– Hannah stepping on Daddy’s notebook, literally. Partially my fault, as I work in the living room these days, and dinner times, the notebook gets temporarily placed on the floor.

– Hannah refusing to finish her dinner, despite Ling dishing out some really creative inventions for her.

– Hannah pushing the RESET button of Daddy’s PC while he’s doing work.

– Takes a lot of effort to get her to keep her toys!

Hmm. Now that I articulate it though; while I don’t have a reference point considering Hannah’s our own child, I at least count myself lucky that Hannah still gives us what I suppose is a relatively easy time. Things could be much, much worse! We’re grateful for the numerous small mercies. E.g.

– I’ve successfully taught Hannah how to apologize when she does something wrong.

– Hannah takes an interest in the notebook, and will rush to help me set it up, e.g. plugging in the power and USB cables, in the living room.

– She still sleeps relatively well every night, though on a few occasions she’s woken up with momentary wailings. Mostly just baby versions of bad dreams I think.

Oh, and finally – recent pictures in the last week. =)

At AMK Hub Fairprice Hypermart.
