After all, if it’s rated #7 of 768 restaurants in Kyoto according to Tripadvisor, it must be really good! We knew that this restaurant was roughly in the same vicinity as Kappazushi, i.e. in the Kawaramachi area. So, after our exploration of the Arashimaya, we headed back near to the Karasuma/Kawaramachi area to look for this elusive restaurant.

And we did find it without too much difficulty after all! In fact, this restaurant is less than 20 meters away from Kappazushi LOL. We went in at about 11:00 AM where there still wasn’t much of a crowd, and by the time we’d walked out with full tummies, the place was packed. The restaurant charges a flat 137円 per plate – more expensive than the 105円 its competitor was charging yesterday. But the sushi was distinctly better tasting.

The front of Musashi.
