Sannomiya Station is one of the main hubs of activity in Kobe, which sort of made our choice for scouting dinner locations pretty easy. Numerous, numerous eateries and restaurants to suit every budget, though much of the cuisine offered seemed to be either Japanese, Italian and the usual suite of Western fastfood chains (i.e. McDonalds and KFC).<\/p>\n

Many of the eateries are pretty small in terms of seating capacity, but I\u2019m assuming it\u2019s because people coming to these places for meals aren\u2019t going to leisurely dine anyway.<\/p>\n

Every commercial establishment has well-done up front decor.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This particular bakery interested us \u2013 founded in 1946, and one side of wall was adorned with photographs of the restaurant in early days. The year would mean also that the bakery was set up shortly after World War II.<\/p>\n

Ling bought three buns for supper - only to struggle to finish them post-heavy dinner!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The main shopping arcade beside the Station. Branches off in all cardinal directions into numerous roads and side alleys.<\/p>\n

Ling got bluffed in this one. She thought it was warm cream in a bun. Turned out to be ice-cream in a bun - in winter LOL.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
