There was a funny conversation at home just now when I was getting prepped for work. Ling had laid out two presents on the bed; one was a new polo-shirt (I love these!), and the other was a small box of about 5 by 5 inches. Did the birthday kiss thing, and went about examining the box.<\/p>\n
I feigned a disappointed look at the box, and said to her:<\/p>\n
"Dear, where’s my new iPad???"<\/font><\/p>\n Ling said in a small voice:<\/p>\n "I did think about buying it for your birthday, dear – but I was afraid you’d say something about not supporting the Evil Empire. :( "<\/font><\/p>\n I grumbled a little in response, but under the breadth.<\/p>\n And about 30 minutes later while driving to work (she was getting the car today), she out of the blue said again:<\/p>\n "Darling, I’m sorry for not buying you the iPad…"<\/font><\/p>\n To which I started laughing!
