I\u2019m not sure if this is just a temporary thing. But of late, I\u2019ve been watching Hannah, taking in her little habits and personality traits, and wondering if they are early signs of the kind of person she\u2019s growing to be. It\u2019s amazing to see our little girl picking up all sorts of things from adults and situations around her. <\/p>\n
For instance:<\/p>\n
– She\u2019s social and cannot be alone, like her Mommy LOL. Hannah responds badly when one of us isn\u2019t near her. <\/p>\n
– She\u2019s learned to associate books to parental company. Whenever she wants us to be with her, she\u2019ll rummage through her box of toys and books, fish out only books, and bring them over for one of us to read to her.<\/p>\n
– She\u2019s also picked up the sense that there are two parents in the family. It\u2019s a very cute thing that she does whenever we go out. She\u2019ll extend out both her hands for us to hold her, and if one of us isn\u2019t \u2013 even if it\u2019s just temporary – she\u2019ll squawk to get our attention that she wants to be held by the other parent.<\/p>\n
– To Mommy\u2019s continued chagrin, Hannah will readily call out \u2018dah dee\u2019 whenever she wants me, but she\u2019s still a long way off to repeating the same for Ling.<\/p>\n
– To Daddy\u2019s continued chagrin, Hannah still readily prefers Ling\u2019s company than mine.:(<\/p>\n
But I do get another minor victory though: each evening before putting Hannah to bed, I\u2019ve got her to not only \u2018bump\u2019 heads with me (see video here<\/a>), she\u2019ll follow up \u2013 absolutely lovely again \u2013 with her planting a kiss on my cheeks.
