There are certain types of veggies and fruits which I would usually go for when I do marketing.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Vegetables<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Potatoes: Brastagi Hertha (NTUC) &#8211; flavourful for making mashed potatoes (Note: Brastagi mini potatoes were really really bland)<\/li>\n<li>Sweet potatoes: Orange ones from Australia (NTUC &amp; CS) &#8211; they have a higher moisture content as compared to local ones<\/li>\n<li>Carrots: Australian (NTUC) &#8211; less than $1 per pack<\/li>\n<li>Corn on cob: Malaysia (NTUC &amp; CS) &#8211; cheap and sweet (Note: consume corn within 3 days of purchase as its sugars will turn to starch over time)<\/li>\n<li>Pumpkin: Zenxin&#8217;s organic Japanese variety (CS) &#8211; very sweet and moist<\/li>\n<li>Broccoli: Australian (NTUC)<\/li>\n<li>Cauliflower: China (NTUC &amp; CS) &#8211; the organic ones are either too expensive or not fresh<\/li>\n<li>Spinach: local hydroponic farm (NTUC) &#8211; no pesticides!<\/li>\n<li>Cherry tomatoes: Sakura (NTUC) &#8211; no pesticides!<\/li>\n<li>Garden peas: frozen big pack (NTUC house brand)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Fruits<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apples: US organic Red Delicious (CS) &#8211; CS doesn&#8217;t carry it anymore :(<\/li>\n<li>Pears: as long as it looks and smells sweet :) (NTUC &amp; CS)<\/li>\n<li>Oranges: Australian Navel (Citrus brand is very sweet when in season) (NTUC) &#8211; 1 year old onwards<\/li>\n<li>Strawberries: Organic ones, seasonal (NTUC) &#8211; 1 year old onwards<\/li>\n<li>Golden Kiwi: New Zealand (NTUC) &#8211; these are sweet and juicy<\/li>\n<li>Banana: (NTUC &amp; CS)<\/li>\n<li>Watermelon: (NTUC, CS or parents&#8217;)<\/li>\n<li>Rock melon: Australian (NTUC)<\/li>\n<li>Hami melon: China (NTUC)<\/li>\n<li>Mangoes: Thai yellow honey mangoes (NTUC)<\/li>\n<li>Papaya: any variety as long as it is sweet :D<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Meats<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fish: salmon, threadfin &amp; cod (NTUC &amp; CS)<\/li>\n<li>Beef: tenderloin &amp; minced (parents&#8217;, NTUC &amp; CS)<\/li>\n<li>Chicken breast: NTUC<\/li>\n<li>Pork: fillet minced (NTUC &amp; CS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Dairy Products<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>UHT Fresh Milk: Marigold Plain (it has vitamin D added to its NZ fresh milk to help in absorption of calcium) (NTUC usually have discounts)<\/li>\n<li>Cheese: Laughing Cow Plain party cubes (NTUC)<\/li>\n<li>Yoghurt: Pauls original (NTUC) &#8211; the only plain version with the simplest, workable ingredients (includes live probiotic cultures)<\/li>\n<li>Mamil Gold Milk Powder for 1-3 years (NTUC)<\/li>\n<li>Eggs: Sakura Eggs (the yolks are very tasty!)<\/li>\n<li>Tofu: Organic silken tofu (NTUC &amp; CS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I have yet introduce pasta in tomato sauce to Hannah. It is long overdue.
