There were routine spills, and if not burping her properly after a feed was like playing Russian roulette for her to merlion everything right back at us.

Things are much easier now though; Hannah readily takes to whatever solids SuperMom cooks up from the Rivervale kitchen, and she’s learned how to hold milk bottles with both her hands during feeds.

All that it takes is for us to position her properly on our arms, guide the bottle teat to her mouth, and help guide her fingers and thumbs to hold the bottle steadily. And all that remains thereafter is to make sure she doesn’t drop the bottle.:)

I don’t get to feed Hannah much given that I’m only home on weekday evenings; but weekends are a different matter. I’ve taken to feeding Hannah 2-3 out of the five feeds she has a day, and yep – there’s that incredibly fatherly sense of protection I get when I do this.

She’s also quite chirpy when feeds are done, though of late she doesn’t seem to like the taste of water very much anymore. Oh well. Here’s a playful moment with Daddy; Mommy took the pictures using the E-PL1.:)

Before Hannah reached six months of age, milk feeds were quite a challenge.
