Getting her involved by feeding Hannah bits from what we\u2019re having \u2013 she\u2019s become impartial to McDonald hotcakes for instance, and on Friday evening even tried bits from the crust of a Pizza Hut pizza \u2013 has worked remarkably well. <\/p>\n<p>Another that that works great with her is to let her play with a toy. There\u2019s a tuppleware containing bit-sized snacks that we\u2019ll pack into her bag when we\u2019re out of home, and also Ling\u2019s Imation thumbdrive. She has stopped using her tastebuds as her primary sensory organ too. We rarely see her putting things into her mouth anymore, so comparatively small items like the thumbdrive seem alright though we still keep a very close eye on her.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s just fun observing Hannah\u2019s reaction when she wants one of those tuppleware snacks. She\u2019ll wave the tuppleware at us, then use both her little hands to set it on the table in front of us. We\u2019ll pop a snack treat out, and place it in her palms. She\u2019ll then shovel the treat with both hands into her mouth, chew and break into a wide grin.
