She\u2019s been able to stand on her own reasonably well on her own for a week now since I returned, and when we saw her take her first steps at Lentor yesterday, we were all very surprised to see how much she\u2019s naturally picked up the ability. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"blog-2010-hannah-OLYP2444-Lentor-flickr\" border=\"0\" alt=\"blog-2010-hannah-OLYP2444-Lentor-flickr\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chekyang.com\/musings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/blog2010hannahOLYP2444Lentorflickr.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"367\" \/>&#160;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"blog-2010-hannah-OLYP2472-Lentor-flickr\" border=\"0\" alt=\"blog-2010-hannah-OLYP2472-Lentor-flickr\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chekyang.com\/musings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/blog2010hannahOLYP2472Lentorflickr.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"367\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The surprise of seeing her take her first steps on her own was just heartwarming! She\u2019s just able to walk in a straight direction though. Coincidentally, Jeff, my MIT co-lead researcher, was remarking to me the other week that over in Boston, there\u2019s apparently some sort of regulation requiring child carseats to be facing specific directions up till certain ages.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"blog-2010-hannah-OLYP2414-carseat-flickr\" border=\"0\" alt=\"blog-2010-hannah-OLYP2414-carseat-flickr\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chekyang.com\/musings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/blog2010hannahOLYP2414carseatflickr.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"367\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And finally at McDonalds.
