The first of three hotels I’m staying at this 10 day trip to Nagoya – Toyota City. There are a number of 3 star establishments on the west side of Nagoya Station and with affordable room rates. The Via Inn Nagoya Ekimae Tsubakicho I stayed at for two nights is a short two minute walk from Esca Underground Shopping Mall, which itself is situated beside Nagoya Station. The property is along a quiet area, and there are several local restaurants just across the road, and the usual convenience stores – including Family Mart and Lawsons a few minutes walk away.
The room I had is called a Small Double-Room, with floor area of 13 sqm. The room is located on the fourth floor, and the hotel offers a variety of in-room amenities that you can pick up from the ground floor. The hotel restaurant – where breakfast is served – is on the second floor, alongside also a coin-operated laundry room. In-room WIFI was decent with good connection speeds – enough for me to stream shows to watch.
Pictures!

On the overall, this hotel was decent enough: the room was clean, everything worked as it should, and the hotel staff spoke enough English to make communicaton easy. The property was an easy couple of minutes walk from the underground mall exit point, there’s a BIC Camera store nearby, local restaurants, and also a Denny’s for those folks who need a family-friendly restaurant that’s nearby.
