Kids @ 17mm, 25mm etc. – Part 7

We celebrated Ling’s birthday yesterday. Now, the evening prior to that, Hannah and I had this conversation in the living room (Ling was in the kitchen):

Hannah in hushed tones: “Daddy, Mommy’s birthday is tomorrow. What cake did you get her?”

Daddy: “Alright, but you cannot tell her ok? Daddy bought her a special Blackforest cake.”

Hannah: “What’s a blackforest cake?”

Daddy: “It’s a type of chocolate…”

Hannah interrupted at the top of her voice: “MOMMY… DADDY BOUGHT YOU A CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!!”

Daddy: “…..!!!!”

That’s our 4 year old girl for you – she’s a taleteller! :(

And more growing pictures with comments:

Hannah sitting cross-legged, prim and proper. The wonderful things she's being taught in school - stuff that we at home would never have realized is necessary.

Hannah can't wait for the picture to be taken so that she can continue attacking her Passion Fruit flavored ice-cream from Andersen's.

Hannah seems to like being involved with Peter, and the latter is now able to recognize his big sister. He's not smiling here though!

Peter's first visit to The Minton, as seen from the opposite HDB block. Too bad he was zzzzing througout.

She’s been especially chirpy these few weeks, and has asked every evening for playtime from Daddy – usually involving throwing pillows at each other, or pulling her legs from point to point on the bed.

Peter's Tummy Time - which are exercises to help strengthen his abdomen muscles. He looks bewildered at the new sensation experienced here though.

Peter seemed uncertain what all the fuss was about last night!

  1. Wow! Hannah has grown so much! She’s such a fine lady. My girl runs and climbs around like a monkey. :(

  2. @ Theresa: Hannah also has her unladylike moments. :) Kids are kids.

    @ Matt: Thanks! :)
