“Knock knock”

It’s not all gloom and misery at home though. Despite that all three of us are sick at home, there’re still many of the usual baby happy and bonding moments we continue to enjoy with Hannah.

For instance, Ling observed this afternoon after her late afternoon dinner feed that Hannah’s learned how to initiate touching foreheads with the both of us, and seems to enjoy doing so too. I excitedly reached for the video camera, and we managed to get her to demo for us.:)

Oh my – I croak like a frog!

  1. Aww such a cutie pie :D

Just wondering, can your kid sleep on their own yet in her cot? (without rocking/feeding a bottle etc).

  2. Awesome! I tried to get her to bump foreheads with me many times during my stay. She seemed apt to do it most of the time, but never followed through. :)

  3. Take care! I hope all 3 of you are feeling better!
Ahh..Hannah, she never fail to make my day after seeing her photos and videos!

  4. Hi didi,

Hannah has been sleeping on her own since 2-month old. She knows the cue for bed after I gave her a body-wipe / bath, changed her into her pyjamas and prayed with her. I’d just put her down in her cot after kissing her goodnight, switch off the lights and close her room door.

  5. Woh, doesn’t she cry when put into bed at night? Or did this only happen at the beginning of 2months?

  6. No – she doesn’t cry at night consistently for the last 8-9 months already when she’s in bed sleeping over the night. The most that’s happened the last few weeks is that she’s been waking up pretty early at about 5:45 AM instead of her usual 7:15 AM or so – but that’s it.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that remains the way.:)

  7. Ya, it is amazing that she didn’t cry when we put her down. Now that she could stand up on her own, she would stand leaning against the cot railing and look out for a while after I put her down and then settle down to sleep. I remember one particular night when she was 2-month plus: after I’ve put her down in her cot and drawn her mosquito net, she actually pouted her lips, whined softly and gave the facial expression of ‘okay, no more play time now’. :)

  8. Haha, I bet it would stay that way as she’s such a clever cutie pie :D

Aww, so sweet how she knows when play time is over and time for sleepy baby XD
